R-311 - army HF radio receiver.
Designed to receive telegraph and telephone radio signals in the frequency range from 1 to 20 MHz.
The radio is made according to the superheterodyne circuit on eight lamps of the 2Zh27L type.
The radio receiver circuit includes an input circuit, one RF voltage amplification stage, a mixer, a first local oscillator, two intermediate frequency voltage amplification stages, a second local oscillator, a second mixer / detector, and a low frequency voltage amplifier.
Distinctive features of the radio receiver circuit are: a local oscillator with constant frequency overlap in all subbands, the presence of a quartz filter in the IF gain path with smooth bandwidth control, quartz stabilization of the second local oscillator frequency, which is also used as a quartz calibrator for calibration correction.
